What it measures
Explains why one student collapses in front of a single grade while another gets past it in a day. Resilience is a skill that is learned — and it is the strongest thing protecting the average student from dropping out.

Before administering
Say: "These are questions about your way of dealing with school difficulties — not about your intelligence and not about your life outside school."
Its limits
It measures dealing with the difficulties of school only. It does not measure mental health and it does not measure pressures outside school, and it is not used as an indicator of them.
